With the 29th Olympiad occuring in Bejing, China, the world is on stage, being a true athlete, their are no other sports that can even be measured up to my love of Track & Field.

This is a sport that has a person's Mind, Body and Soul involved in the search for excellance.

This is athletics, the sport recognized on all continents and in every village, town or city around the world.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -So much for the Oregon coronation. Instead, Texas A&M was the school that made track and field history.

Justin Oliver held on for second place as the anchor in the 1,600-meter relay, giving the Aggies the men's team title at the NCAA track and field championships Saturday. Texas A&M also won the women's title, becoming the first school since 1990 to win both outdoor championships.

This is the best year ever for College/University track in Texas.

Texas A&M Women's & Men's won the championship, with several local kids from the area:

Porscha Lucas, Plano HS, Texas A&M 100M 11.31 200M 22.81

Tyrone Stewart, Cedar Hill HS, Texas A&M, LJ 25'08.25

UIL Regional Meets may not have FAT timing to qualify for State

AUSTIN, TX— After collaborating with University of Texas officials and the twenty UIL
regional track meet hosts, the UIL has tentatively rescheduled the regional track meets to
take place after interscholastic competition resumes on May 11. Additionally, the state track
meet is scheduled to be held June 5-6 at Myers Stadium at the University of Texas at
Austin.

Here is my take on this, give me one successful athlete today, professional or in high school that does not have a persoanl trainer or coach and I will show you an athlete that is just thier to be on te team.

every sunday parents and kids all seem to want get the sunday paper and see if my kid name is in the paper, most times the number one place is a club coached kid.

I hope all is well and you returned back home safely. I'm sure that was an awesome experience! My son asked me if I would take him to the olympics. So I am going to try my best to get him to Olympics in London in 2012! And hopefully he will be in the Olympics as an athlete in 2016!!!!! Oh my GOD did I just say that! That means I will be #$#$##% years old!!!! LOL!

I would love to depending on where the league is located. I started to coach my son's summer league track club. My son made it to TAAF state meet in the 100 and 50 and placed second in the 50. I'm a graduate of Lancaster High School, and yes I'm one of Bev's girls. If you know about track then you know about Bev! LOL! ran on varsity starting my freshman year and went to state every year and still hold record in high jump.
